Had my first goodie from Bouchon Bakery today — a blueberry pistachio turnover. Spent a good five minutes admiring the selections in the display case, from the glossy sticky buns to the colorful seasonal fruit tarts and the knotted pains au raisin. In the end I went with the turnover because the others were mainstays on the menu so I figured I could try them some other time. Paired with a cup of their superb coffee and The Sun Also Rises, twas quite the afternoon treat after a hectic morning. Heading into the city for the weekend and gots some more catching up to do on the New York food scene. A delightful weekend to you all!
